It has been one year since I started playing the erhu. I'm still a beginner, but I will be performing my second street live in Tokyo. The performance will also be live-streamed.

Hello, this is TAKUROMAN. Suddenly, do you know the erhu? It’s a traditional Chinese instrument that produces sound by bowing its strings. I started playing it last September, so it’s been almost a year now. Honestly, I’m still not very good. Even so, next month I’ll be doing a street live performance in Tokyo to celebrate my “1-year anniversary” with the erhu. This will actually be my second attempt since I challenged myself on the 100th day. I’m nervous 🫨 In an age where AI can create anything, why the erhu? I couldn’t forget my dream, so at 35 I enrolled full-time in a manga school from scratch and learned how to draw. After that, I began working as a digital artist. However, with the advent of AI, I started to question the meaning of human creation. In August this year, I created a piece titled “The Funeral of Human Creativity”…

Couldn't forget his dream of becoming a Manga artist, he enrolled at a Manga art school at age 35, studying directly under Ms. Masae Takakuwa, author of Human Body Croquis.

Based on the concept of "Art Happens.", he draws inspiration from shapes that appear while drawing, finding themes and turning them into works. No two works are ever the same.
