Digital pop artist TAKUROMAN, selected as a finalist at the "ASIA FASHION COLLECTION 9th," has created a collaborative work with the brand COCOTONO, which won the right to participate in New York Fashion Week. All 8 works went on sale as NFTs on the nanakusa platform starting at 18:00 on Friday, January 21.

About the Project
SBINFT Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Tokunori Takanaga), operator of the NFT marketplace "nanakusa," in collaboration with Vantan Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), whose vision is to "Create the world’s closest school to society," announces a joint project with the "ASIA FASHION COLLECTION," now in its 9th edition, and nanakusa-certified artists.
In this project, on January 21 (Friday), nanakusa will sell collaboration NFT works by six brands that gained the right to participate in New York Fashion Week at the 9th "ASIA FASHION COLLECTION (hereinafter AFC)" and nanakusa-certified artists on the NFT marketplace "nanakusa." Simultaneously, the works will be exhibited from the same day at a special exhibition space in the metaverse "Cryptovoxels."

TAKUROMAN×COCOTONO Collaboration Concept
COCOTONO’s concept for this collection, "lol (laugh of little)," focuses on the amusing moment of a little laugh when noticing the discomfort appearing in everyday life. In addition to this concept, they present 8 styles based on individually set themes. Based on COCOTONO’s concept, TAKUROMAN set the concept "life w/ lol (a life full of chuckles (=awareness))." Unlike COCOTONO emphasizing the amusing moment of noticing everyday discomfort, TAKUROMAN’s theme is awareness over a relatively long timespan.
For example, in the work inspired by COCOTONO’s "KANPAAI" called "Awai Koigokoro," bubbles meet and fall in love at the moment of the toast and disappear like bubbles, but the lingering warm feelings will surely not be forgotten even after passing the throat. (See Work Introduction 5.)

Lying down, watching clouds floating in the sky. Clouds eventually turn into sheep. Counting sheep one by one. The flock soon transforms into the face of that person. A wonderful world of slumber.

That encounter melted my heart instantly. People say it’s a bubble-like love. But that burning feeling, even after passing the throat, I will never forget.

About TAKUROMAN
Never forgetting his childhood dream, TAKUROMAN enrolled in a manga school at age 35 with determination and learned drawing techniques directly from Mae Takakuwa, author of the book "Human Anatomy Croquis." His works are created by intuitively coloring shapes that appear by chance in his drawings, resulting in art pieces that cannot be reproduced twice.
